NPR Music Live from the Newport Folk Festival

Fans of folk music will hear emerging young artists alongside some of the country’s most acclaimed musicians as they play live from the most famous folk festivals in the country when WITH-FM 90.1 presents NPR Music Live from the Newport Folk Festival, Friday, July 27 starting at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Broadcasting live from Fort Adams State Park, the fetival kicks off Friday night with performances by Wilco, .
All Songs Considered host Bob Boilen and WFUV's Rita Houston guide listeners through the festival, sharing details about the bands, and their opinions on the performances. This year's lineup features both old favorites and young unknowns, from heavy-metal bluegrass to Nigerian-inspired hip-hop and reggae.
